Why the name viewpoint214?

There were many factors that led up to why I entitled my blog viewpoint214, but this is the main reason :

My grandfather had a dream once; he pursued that dream and he fulfilled his dream by undaunting hard work, perserverance and most of all by God's sovereignty. This blog is dedicated to him because he did not let the viewpoints of others influence him to give up, change who he was or deter him from his charted course. He knew where he was going and it didn't matter if anyone else did. He was his own man and stood as that man and no one could take that away from him. In other words, he held fast to his viewpoint and despite adversity, experienced victory and left behind what is in my opinion, any valid man's dream; an enduring legacy.

So with that said, here is encouragment for such a time as this (Esther 4:14):

It doesn't matter what your dream is. As long as it is healthy, doesn't bring a fellowman/woman/child harm, it should be okay. I say this because as humans our motives are not always people-friendly but temporarily self-serving in an unhealthy manner; one sees it in the news all the time no matter what medium whether it be that of television, radio, newspaper or internet. The headlines constantly describe various injustices- violations of another person's mind, body and well-being in some way. It is my viewpoint that as one learns to keep things real, he or she will jump to new heights that will heal, uplift and encourage and truly make a positive difference in the ever-changing world.
